For this first feature, cult artist Bertrand Mandico has created an erotic fantasy with a lush aesthetic and fascinating plot. Five teens are convicted of a crime and sentenced to suffer the whims of a sadistic, gruff sailor. They’re taken to a mysterious island where vegetation and carnal pleasure are as one. The director continues his genre-blending experiments, creating a fantastical world that enchants viewers with its plastic beauty and extreme sensuality.
