From the directors of The Wound comes an essay set in the Calais Jungle. A primitive, epic film and a no-holds-barred tribute to a community that commands respect. “Our lives and our ways of looking at things are so stifled by information and its instant propagation that we can no longer see what’s real. That stifled state has become our reality,” according to Nicolas Klotz. In this desolate heath that has oddly become a land of heroes, 4,000 migrants evicted from the southern zone try to rise from their ashes in the northern zone. The Wild Frontier (L’Héroïque Lande) tell how this new born city, in full growth, where lived nearly 7,800 people, will be demolished by 50% in Februrary 2016. How 4,000 expelled migrants from the south zone, will try to reborn from ashes in the north zone. Before that the government decide to wreck the entire zone in October 2016 and to scatter these 11,000 residents, into the four corners of France.IN PRESENCE OF THE DIRECTOR NICOLAS KLOTZIN COMPETITION
