Landmark restoration of a masterpiece of Spaghetti Western. The 50th anniversary of a cult film revered and fetishized by Tarantino and Alex Cox, and with good reason. In the snowbound mountains, dreadful things are afoot. To avenge a woman’s honour, a mute gunslinger (Jean- Louis Trintignant), handsome and flawed, faces off with a nefarious, corrupt bounty hunter (Klaus Kinski). Sergio Corbucci (Django) was at the top of his game when he directed this staggering, sadistic tragedy. A monumental film that must be seen and the main inspiration for Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.
