JAPAN | 129 minutes | 2017

A surprisingly contemplative alien invasion film where the visitors are able to eradicate the impact of humans. Strangely utopian.
The Japanese filmmaker has adapted a stage play to delivers his first-ever sci-fi feature mingling his signature dreaminess with weird pheno- mena. Directly in line with the rest of his fantastic oeuvre, Kurosawa succeeds in maintaining a delicate balance between postmodern jadedness and existential questioning.
