An immersive journey into two disciplines: politically engaged experi- mental documentary and cinematic restoration. In 1976, Bruce Conner released Crossroads, a 36-minute montage of the atomic tests perpe- trated by the American government on Bikini atoll in 1946. The environ- mental and humanitarian scandal was lmed by 500 cameras. Forty years later, archivist Ross Lipman tackled Conner’s work, restoring it and adding commentary.
