The great names in cinema
HUNGARY , Germany | 123 minutes | 2017
In this new, visually stunning film by the director of White God, a Syrian refugee realizes he has superpowers. Shot and wounded while trying to cross the border, a young man discovers he can fly. This terrifically evocative allegory by the Hungarian filmmaker obviously resonates with the current situation. Through an aesthetic reminiscent of Birdman by Alejandro González Iñárittu and Waking Life by Richard Linklater, Jupiter’s Moon takes the form of a thriller with a much darker vision than your average superhero movie.
