The great names in cinema
LITHUANIA , France , Ukraine , Poland | 115 minutes | 2017
The tentative beginnings of a love affair in a time of humanitarian aid set in the ravaged landscapes of a war zone. The tortuous journey of two young humanitarian workers on a mission to supply the Ukrainian soldiers fighting the Russian invader, Frost brings to the fore the murky issues of a conflict in a dismembered empire that benefits none of the factions. True to form, the Lithuanian filmmaker crosses the snowy steppe and delivers a testimony to the absurdity of war and the fragility of love.
